Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum, new to the camera and new to the photography world, and I wish I had started way sooner. I love the technical aspect as well as the beauty, creativity and individuality photography inspires.
So I have done some searches but with no resolve.
So you take a pic, then you review on the screen of the D5100.
How can I see what the settings were on when the photo was taken? You know, like aperture, shutter, ISO, etc?
Thanks in advance!! Glad we have a forum to support noobs like me.

You will need to program the camera to provide the information. Here's what you do:
Press the Menu button, go to the Playback Menu, select playback display options, select Overview , then select Done. Doing this will show the picture, shooting information and the histogram.
To get all of this info to show while you are viewing a picture, push the up arrow and the F-stop, ISO, etc. will show on the screen. To clear, just push the down arrow.
Hope this helps.
