Why does my camera save TWO of every picture???

Well every time I take a picture and hook the firewire into my laptop, my computer saves two of every picture. Why is this?? I have the image quality set to (RAW)+JPEG fine. Is this why I get 2 of every picture? If anyone knows why, I'd really appreciate some insight on this one. :)

Simply having the camera set to save 2 images, 1 RAW & 1 jpeg, every time you take a picture shouldn't be an issue if space is available. If you want to alter in a image editing program after taking a shot then you would be better with RAW. If you don't want to edit then jpeg. If you want to take the card to a shop to have the images printed then you will need the images in jpeg.
