removing the back from my D3100

Hi, have an error on my 13 month old D3100 saying "Error. Press shutter release button again". I have seen a post on a similar error on the D40, which suggests removing the baseplate and releasing the small plastoc cogs inside that activate the shutter. However, it doesn't look as if my D3100 has an actual base plate, and I'm not keen on undoing the screws underneath without making sure I'm undoing the correct ones. Therefore, do you have any instructions or diagrams showing how to get inside my D3100?
