Fast moving toddler

Hi, I am new to taking pics. Just bought a Canon Rebel T2i last week. I want to take pics of my 20 month old. However, some of the pics have been blurred. Currently using the kit lens 18-55mm. What can I do to capture great pics of my fast moving little angel?

I'd love to hear the advice on this one! I just got the T2i for Mother's Day and also have a toddler. I hope people have some great tips! :)

Shutter speed of 250+ (TV or manual setting).
ISO as low as possible for outdoors.
Indoors ISO will probably need about 800.
