@kgondra - Generally speaking, when a lithium battery is engaged (battery contacts are touching camera contacts), power loss can occur at a quicker rate, however, if you're using your camera on a daily basis, I wouldn't worry about it.
I usually work with a minimum of two batteries. One in the camera at all times and another spare that is freshly charged. This way if a moment arises, you can quickly grab your camera and shoot. The last thing you want to do, is grab your camera, rush out to the subject or scene and realize you have no battery inserted. Happy shooting! :)
