Camera care & cleaning

I have a Canon EOS 1200d and have a problem where there seems to be some dust appearing on each photo no matter what the lens. Are there any step-by-step instructions I can follow anywhere to clean the camera myself or is it something best done by a professional? I'm a hobbyist in the UK and still learning how to use the camera. Any guidance would be appreciated.
