focus frame

when viewing pictures on camera, I have a red focus frame, can someone please tell me how to remove it. thanks in advance.

I have spent a few days researching this problem and have come up with no answers. I think you may have to consider a trip to the repair shop. I have a friend who is a Canon engineer and he says he has never come across a similar problem.
