EXPOSURE BRACKETING ON NIKON D5300

Hello everyone,
I am trying to take multiple shots for varying exposures in a single click using exposure bracketing option in my Nikon D5300. I feel the following settings should allow me to do that but unfortunately I end up in pressing shutter release button for every exposure (3 clicks for the following setting).
1. Camera is in Manual Mode
2. Main menu>Auto bracketing is set to 'AE bracketing'
3. I set desired bracketing : For taking 3 shots, I chose BKT option as +0.7 and -0.7
4. I set shutter Release mode to 'Continuous Low' or 'Continuous High'

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can anyone please help me?

  • It ought to work, as far as I can see. I don't have a D5300, but it does work as you expect on a D7100. You do have to keep the shutter button pressed for all three when in continuous mode, but if you hold the button down it should fire the three and then pause.
