Flash for Nikon D5500

Is there an external flash that uses the same battery as the Nikon D5500?

I'm not aware of any, either using a camera battery in the flash, or using the on board camera power. External flashes tend to use a fairly high momentary charge that a camera battery might have difficulty meeting, and most are made to be compatible with several different models of cameras, making it difficult to decide which battery to use. Camera batteries are also pretty expensive.

It just made sense for me to carry the same battery for both the camera and the flash.... anyways... thanks again!!
