Anytime I take a video on my T3i, it doesn't come out focused. The background is more focused than the person in front of the camera. the setting is on auto focus. I also have a 30mm lens.

Hi @KDIGO5,
Check which AF points are being used for your auto focus. With a wide angle lens like 30mm, the camera has leeway to choose other points rather than your subject to focus on.
I always use the single center point, as it is the most sensitive, and you can point it directly at your subject.
