Hi, I have been trying to learn how to take my camera off the Auto mode, but whenever I try taking pictures with the M, A, S or P, the pictures when viewed are black and white. What have I done wrong?

I would guess that somehow your picture control has been set to monochrome. Push the [Menu] button, and go to the shooting menu. There you should find an entry for Picture Controls. Set that to Normal and try shooting again.
