Auto focus mode

I've been trying to figure out how to film video with the camera auto focusing constantly, without requiring me to put my finger down on the shutter button. However, I've looked at manuals and YouTube videos, and my camera doesn't give me the ability to choose AF-F mode. I only get AF-A, AF-S, and AF-C. I've tried using those while filming, but it doesn't auto focus until I put my finger down on the button. Is there anything I need to do differently?

You must choose your AF modes in Live View. If you push the [i] menu button in Live View, you'll see a different set of AF choices then.

By the way, I will add my old refrain. If you have not done so, download the manual PDF from the CD that came with the camera, or if you lack that, get it from Nikon's web site. The printed manual for the D3200 is abridged and shamefully incomplete!

Thank you, Bruto! I was told to change my settings in the regular display mode, and it didn't work for me at all.

This saved me! Thank you (I'm sorry if this was a rudimentary question).
