Theater shots

Hello,

I recently started working for a theater. They offer everything from children's plays and dances, to big name performers and singers. We cannot have any flash in the theater. I can get very close to the stage, but we do have different colored lights as well as a spotlight at times. What would be the best option for taking these shots?
