Video of a school play

I am shooting a high school production of The Crucible and I am worried about what settings to use. The lights are not terribly bright. There's not a lot of movement (at least not fast, sports-like movement), and I don't want to hear the camera focus noise in the playback, if possible.

Get much better audio by recording the audio separately using another device placed on the stage, then just sync it with the video in post production. This way, you won't have to worry about the auto focus noise.
