Battery stuck in power grip

I just purchased a promaster power grip for my nikon D3200. Both of my batteries are Nikon batteries. I used the grip, and after getting a low battery reading I tried to take the batteries out for charging. One was very easy to remove and the other needed leverage. Do you think it was operator error/issue or a quality issue with the grip?
