Black and White Pictures

I am interested in black and white pictures with my 18-55mm lens. What will be the all settings to take pictures like these?

If you want to see more black and white pictures which I would like to snap, just type Satantango and see lots of nice black and white pictures.

@romulas shoot in monchrome. That's my opinion.

Hi,
You could also shoot RAW in color and post process in DPP software which came with your camera, although Lightroom and Photoshop or Photoshop elements give you more control.
