Magnifying glass symbol

Hi, can any one help please?
Looking through my recent pictures on my camera and as I view them, I can't view the whole picture. Also, a magnifying glass appears in the top left for a couple of seconds.

    Sounds like you're just zoomed in to the picture. Just press the zoom out button. It's the 3rd button down on the left side of the screen.

    On the D3200, which I imagine is similar, the OK button on the back will return your picture to its regular size in one step.
