My Canon 60D that I have had for 18 months came up with an err 70. The photo number was flashing, but I couldn't do anything with the camera. I googled it and took out the battery and it started working again. Does anyone know if this is going to be a problem? I am pretty worried about it.

Error 70 indicates that there was a problem in writing the data for the image that was flashing. This can be due to a faulty memory card, but is rare. You did the right thing by removing and replacing the battery as this effectively 'reboots' the camera system.
I suspect that this was just one of those things and I wouldn't be unduly worried if I were you.
If it happens again, try formatting and taking pictures with a different card to see if that solves your problem.
