NEF file and resolution issue

I take the image type NEF while shooting, but when I open them in CS6, I'm not able to get the high resolution pictures. Maybe I'm not getting how to convert NEF into high resolution? I need at least 8X10 inch with 240ppi. Please help. I am new to photography!
