Do you have any tips on shooting at a bowling alley with low lighting? We aren't allowed to use flashes during tournaments. I have tried different setting and use both the 18-55mm and 75-300mm lenses. Thanks
Hi, That's a tricky situation. A tripod is a must. You need to set a shutter speed high enough to capture the action, but in low light this is difficult to achieve. Set your ISO to Auto, take a couple of test shots and while looking at these dial in some exposure compensation. With very high ISO values be prepared for your shots to be noisy, but better this than no shots at all. You can reduce noise to some extent in post-processing. Good luck.
