To watermark or not to watermark

I am in no way a professional and I simply take pictures for fun; I do put some on Flikr. I have seen that some people watermark their pictures and some do not. What are the pros and cons to either way?

If you do not watermark it, someone may steal it. Even if you only take them for fun someone may find them saleable.

If you do watermark, then you have to learn how. If you do not know how, get a program to do so. It can be done in photoshop.

Hi,
I agree with @unfaithful, however, create copies of your originals to watermark and place on Flickr. Removing watermarks is not as straightforward as putting them on.
