Shutter speed in no flash mode

I let my friend borrow my camera, and when I got it back something was weird. Now when I take a photo in the no flash mode and in the mode where I hold the button down to take multiple shots, the shutter speed is very long (if the photo is kind of dark). How do I change the shutter speed in no flash mode?
