Lens for fast moving kids and subjects far away

I have a lens on now that can take close ups (not perfect, but nice), but fast moving pictures are usually blurry and far away images aren't as great as I'd hoped. I need a lens to take great pictures of my kids outings and the wildlife on our property. Name some best bets for me. I don't wish to have to change the lens as I go.

PS. It would be so nice to be able to see a picture preview in the pane so that I dont have to always look in the viewfinder. Is this possible?
