Four feet six inches! Seriously, any tripod height that doesn't require you to bend too far and put strain on your back will work. Try a few out at your local camera store. Either take your own camera or ask them to mount a similar one for you. Obviously, not all tripods are created equal. You also need to consider its weight and portability. Don't be put off by salesmen, they will try to sell you a Manfroto. They may be the best, but they are also the most expensive.
