Video Settings in for a Baby Delivery

I just received the Nikon D3100 this week so I'm still becoming familiar with its use. I am due to have my baby in two weeks and would like to take it to the hospital when I am having my baby. Can anyone recommend settings for both video and camera mode in a hospital setting. My husband will most likely have the camera and he is a novice, so I am hoping to set it before hand and hand it over.
