Video Sound

I can take video, but there is no sound. I have made sure my sound was turned on, but no luck!

    try this: Shooting Menu>Movie Settings>Sound "On"

    If there is still no sound on playback look at the five buttons on the left of the camera next to the LCD screen. The middle button controls volume when you are playing back a video in the camera.
    Is it set to allow sound when a video is playing in the camera?

    I have just tried your steps and the sound is still not working. I went to a video and made sure the volume is up all the way. Still no sound!

    I'll look in Busch's big D3100 book and get back to you.

    Have you tried shouting at it? Just kidding.

    I looked in Busch's big D3100 book. I couldn't find anything beyond what I've already added.

    Hopefully someone will chime in with the right answer.
