Accessing All Options in Information Edit Display

Hi there. When I press the information edit button once or twice, most of the option buttons are grayed out (ie. metering mode, etc.).
The screen which is a blue shade does not even allow me to use the arrows to go to the right column and the
question mark just blinks. How do I access all the options on these screens? Thanks for your help.

That's because you're in an automatic mode. Try either one of the pro modes M,A,S,P. I hope this is what you are trying to describe.
