SD Card Error Message for Nikon D3100

Hi all,

Today I was making some videos with my two year old Nikon D3100, and suddently at the very end, I get a message on the camera saying "This card is not formatted. Format the card". I've had the card as long as the camera and have never had that message. I'm worried that I have no choice but to reformat it, in which case I'm assuming I'll lose everything I've done today?

Can anyone think of a remedy here?

I had a error when I was shooting at Euro Disney in Paris. I sweated it all the way back to the UK.

I just had a read error, not a "card not formatted error", but this fixed it.
