I know the specs say that it will record for 30 minutes. I've seen video of the T4i recording video longer than 30 minutes by starting another video file, with no video or sound lost making the transition. Is this the same for the T3i?
Hi Ross, The reason 30 minutes is stated is because under current legislation any longer than 30 minutes would classify it as a video camera which affects its taxation class. There are moves to have this legislation changed but in the meantime you are stuck with 30 minutes. I am not positive because I don't know the T3i, but I'm guessing the feature you refer to is something new on the T4i. I have never seen this feature mentioned with other rebel cameras. So you can record as many 30 minute blocks as your card will allow, but it means you will have to stitch the transitions yourself with some editing software. Regards, PBked
