How to know Battery is fully charged

How do I know if the battery is fully charged? The user guide says it takes one and a half hours to get a full charge, but when I am charging the battery in the Nikon provided charger the indicator light shows orange and it has been more than one and a half hours. Is there any way to know if the battery is fully charged? Thanks for any pointers.

My understanding is that when the battery is fully charged the blinking orange light will turn to a solid orange light and no longer blinks. However, I am not aware of a setting in the camera to indicate if the battery is full, other than the battery icon that shows on the screen when the batter is low. Hope this helps.
