Outside shoots

I have my first outside couple shoot on Sunday. Is it absolutely necessary to use my speedlight?

    Not really my specialty, and many variations are possible, but I'd suggest you take the speedlight in case you need fill flash. If you manage the outdoor light well you may not need it, and some will depend on what sort of mood you want to convey, but it can be hard sometimes to keep faces from being shaded when the sun is high.
