Golden gate bridge camera settings

edited September 2014 Posted in » Nikon D5100 Forum
In October I will be in San Francisco. I would like to get pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge right the first time. What settings do you suggest I use? I have kit lenses and also a 50mm f/1.8.

You can follow the general pointers for a typical landscape shot:
    Tripod
    Small aperture
    Low ISO

Your kit lens may be a better choice for this than the 50mm.

More importantly, you need to find a good vantage point for the shot. Just search “best spot to photograph golden gate bridge” for tips.
Try to make your shot look unique and not like a generic post card photo.
