Video settings for dark shots?

Im trying to set the camera on video mode and focus on a child playing darts but its comes out dark. What am I doing wrong?
Is it the focus?

Set the camera up in normal photo-taking mode, then when you have good results, switch to video.
You might just need better lighting.
