Old Minolta 50mm 1.7 & 135mm 2.8 lenses on the T2i

I am new to DSLR's. I have ordered a T2i and it is in route. I have a old Minolta X370 film camera 50mm f/1.7 and 135mm f/2.8 lenses. I also purchased the adapter to convert the lenses to Canon. I understand that I can only use them manually. Do you have any knowledge of how well these lenses will work on a DSLR camera or if will the picture quality will be as good?
