Tamron SP 150-600MM F/5-6.3 - 95mm lens

I have the opportunity to use the Tamron 150-600 lens this summer. I was wondering if there are settings that I should be using to photograph wildlife in Alaska? I have the "Cheat Sheets" for the 75-300 Canon. Would the settings be similar?
