Nikon D40

Hi,
I am excited to have an opportunity to visit with others who are new/nearly new to photography! I have a Nikon D40. Is there a reason this model isn't listed in the drop downs? I'm very new!

The D40 is an older model which predates the series of cameras that Moose Winans, the person responsible for the forum, has compiled instructions and cheat cards for, and those are the ones for which specific forums are provided. Anything else would belong here in the general discussion forum.


If you have specific issues with this model, or with photography in general, I'm sure someone here will at least try to be helpful, as it shares many characteristics with later models, but model specific information may not be so readily available.
