Ebay and Warranty

Some people are selling D3100's on eBay. Is the warranty valid if solf by just anyone and not an authorized Nikon dealer?

    If its being sold as new and unopened, inside should be a warranty card with an extra 2 years, but I believe you need proof of purchase/valid receipt if there is any need for a claim.
    If you register it then the camera will have warranty regardless of the seller.
    If you're buying used then the answer is simply no; the camera warranty would be in another name.
