D3100 Duplicates Pictures on my PC

My D3100 dublicates pictures when I view or transfer them on to my computer. Any ideas how to solve this? Thanks.

    You need to change your image quality type on the camera. Your most likely shooting in raw + jpeg. This needs to be set to either raw or Jpeg.
    Press the info icon on the bottom left and then select the image quality type in the top right and move this to fine.
