Fishing Shots

I recently purchased a D5100 and have the 18-55 and 55-300mm VR Lenses. I fish a lot and I'm looking to take sweet closeup fish pictures. Any ideas where to begin?

Since you are looking for close-ups of fish in the water, use a polarizer filter to cut down reflections: http://goo.gl/VfiCl.

As for the close up use the 200-300mm on the telephoto lens. I'm just a beginner. If I need correction kindly suggest any tips to improve.
