Loud shutter

I just upgraded to the 60D from a Rebel XT. With the first picture I took I noticed how loud the shutter is. I'm wondering if this is normal? I want to make sure I didn't get a dud! I'm using a 50mm f/1.4 lens if that makes a difference.

    I get the same shutter noise. I tried everything but it's still noisey. Any one else have the solution?
