Best Lens for Snow

I'm going on a trek in the snow and I have two lenses; the kit lens 18-55mm and the 55-300mm. I do not have a tripod and the 55-300mm lens is quite heavy. I intend to take photos of the landscapes. Which lens do you suggest I take with me?

    I personally like a wider lens for landscapes, so I would take the 18-55mm if I was limited. You could always take both!

    Just be careful of bringing the camera and lens from the cold into a warm environment without having it in a sealed bag. Condensation is a bad deal both with electronics and optics.
