Canon Film Camera Lens Adapting to the T2i

edited January 2013 Posted in » Canon Lens Talk
Hi all,

I would like to take advantage of some of my FD lenses as well as my late brother's EOS A2E lenses.

The first two lenses would be FD 55mm f/1.2 aspherical and the EF 100-300mm 1:5.6 L.

I don't mind the manual focus, but I wonder if there is any one in the group having experience with these lenses and the best way to adapt them.

Thanks and it's nice to have someone to talk to about cameras and photography in general.

Hi @Dondo - Try using a Canon FD lens to EOS body adapter. Adorama sells a Pro Optic brand for $49.95 and so does Amazon.

Howdy @DONDO - Yep, you'll have to purchase an FD to EOS adapter like @lbonahue mentioned. The glaring negative with these adapters is the fact that you have to do everything manually...focus AND exposure.

If you're just starting out, you're best bet would be to sell (or trade) the lenses for something that will work automatically with your T2i. Best of luck and happy shooting! :)
