Best Walk Around Lens - Canon 18-200 vs Tamron 18-270

Hi Moose!

I've been using the kit lens for years now. I'm still for sure not a pro, but I'm looking for a new challenge and that's why I'm considering the Canon 18-200mm and Tamron 18-270mm lenses. I have read several tests and it seems like Canon gives better results. The price is exactly the same. At the moment I'm leaning toward Canon. What would you recommend? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I enjoy all of your tips and will continue to learn.
