shutter inconsistency - please help

Hello! I just got my T2i about 6 months ago and never realized that when I set it to "Continous" mode, the duration from the 1st shutter to the 2nd shutter release is a little longer than the rest of the shutter releases. Does this have something to do with the memory card that I'm using?

I'm using a "SanDisk Extreme HD Video 16 GB SDHC Class 10 Memory Card". A friend who noticed the inconsistent shutter release owns a T2i and the same memory card as well, but his camera seems to be just fine.

Could it be the lenses that I'm using? I own both 24-70mm f/2.8 L and 70-200mm f/2.8 Mark II L.

Just FYI, I tried all the modes and same problem still exists. Please HELP!!
