Shutter speed issue while using the Raynox DCR-250

edited May 2012 Posted in » Nikon D3100 Forum
I attached the Raynox DCR-250 to my 55-200mm lens and I couldn't set the shutter speed higher than 1/200th. How come?

Howdy @Marcus - The Raynox DCR-250 won't have any effect on the fastest shutter speed you can use. More than likely you had flash enabled. With the flash turned on, the fastest shutter speed you can use with the D3100 is 1/200. This is called the flash sync speed. To get faster shutter speeds with the Raynox DCR-250, just disable the flash. Happy shooting! :)
