View in Black and White

Do you know if there is a way to Live View the image in black and white but have it record in color?

    Go to the "retouch" menu, select "monochrome," select "black-and-white," select a photo from the screen, select "OK," the image will show in B&W. To cancel, press the right arrow button on the top left. Remember, if you click on "save," bye-bye color image!

    I don't think you answered the question RCDigitalBoy. He wanted to know if he could do Live View to frame up the picture, but take the picture in BW. Not how to convert to BW which is what you answered.

    Karone, I have only had my D3100 a short while, and I cannot say for sure, but I do not think this is possible. The LiveView appears to always be in color.
