Baseline setting for shooting night time drag races...

Moose,

You were a big help with setting up shots for our horse shows and daytime drag racing, but what about night time? I am able to be directly on the track (starting line, burn-out box, starter area etc...) so I can get really close if needed. Our local track has decent lights at the starting line but what I am looking for is just a baseline to get me in the ballpark. I will adjust as needed from there.

By the way, I have 2 lenses: standard 18-55mm and the 55-200mm, and I just picked up a SB-900 Speedlight tonight.
