Canon 55-250mm Or Canon 50-200mm

Hi, I recently purchased the T2i with the 18-55mm kit lens. I am looking to upgrade to a longer telephoto lens that performs well in low-light situations and that I may use in indoor sports photography, as well as outdoor nature. I was thinking about buying either the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Lens or the Sigma 50-200mm f/4-5.6 DC OS HSM. What is your opinion?

Also, if you can, I would like your opinions on both lenses' clarity.

Neither of the 2 above lenses are good low light. I have the 55-250mm which is a great little lens but not for low light. You will need to look into a L lens with f2.8 for good low light shots. Still may need to bump up the ISO a bit in some situations. I have a 50mm f/1.4 which is a great low light lens but not a tele.

Thanks for the help, I know those lenses aren't necessarily great for low light, but those are the only ones I was looking at that are in my price range. I ended up buying the 55-250mm because I got a good deal. Thanks for your input!
