Which SD Card to shoot HD

edited April 2012 Posted in » Canon T2i Forum
I just got my T2i, so i know nothing. I'm looking to buy a SD card for it. I know that a Class 10 is reccommended to shoot HD, and I've been looking at 16GB and 32GB class 10 cards. Is there a certain brand that is better?

Hi @FishFace - The most popular cards are Kingston, PNY, Transcend and Lexar. Personally I use Lexar because they are reliable and quite affordable.

Unless you are going to use HD video a lot, the 16GB would suit your needs. I usually buy 16GB...one in the camera and one spare, but I am old-fashioned and believe that a DSLR camera is for taking pictures and video cameras for films. Regards, PBked

Howdy @FishFace - I personally prefer Lexar, Transcend and SanDisk in that order...based on overall price, reliability and customer support. Check out my memory card write-up for more info on HD filming, read/write speeds and class ratings. Happy shooting! :)
