AF-S mode and focus points

edited April 2012 Posted in » Nikon D3100 Forum
Hi @Moose - When you have the D3100 in AF-S mode is it possible to change the actual point of focus, because it seems to be automatically set to a point at the bottom centre? If it's not possible to change it how do you frame the shot properly as my subject is too near the bottom of the frame? Sorry if this is a stupid question and I'm missing something obvious. Thanks, Caro

No, its not stupid. To move the focus point from its current location to any other position, use the direction keys on the multi-selector button (right of the LCD screen), or to return it to the center spot, simply press the OK button. This is on page 60 of the manual.
